The last airplane that Elvis Presley bought, as a co-owner with his father, Vernon Presley has become available for sale in May 2017.
While the mainstream media is purring over the red velvet interior and other Elvis customizations; it is doubtful that he ever flew in it.
|Elvis & Vernon Jet for Auction: Elvis’ last privately-owned jet will be auctioned on May 27, after sitting for more than 30 years on the tarmac in Roswell, New Mexico. It has no engines and has never been restored.
The 1962 red Lockheed JetStarOne which Elvis purchased in July 1976 (via a trade-in on his previous investment in a Dessault-Falcon airplane) eventually became the center of a long drawn-out FBI investigation “Operation Fountain Pen” where Elvis and Vernon were swindelled in an aircraft refurbishment deal.
|The plane is being sold without reserve until May 27.Go here to the auction site for more details
